💊 Severe persistent pain relief – Oxycodone extended-release is used for severe, ongoing pain that requires around-the-clock opioid treatment when other options are not effective enough, not tolerated, or otherwise inadequate. It is not for as-needed pain.

Important 80 mg warning

⚠️ Oxy80 is for opioid-tolerant patients only. The official labeling says OxyContin 60 mg and 80 mg tablets, a single dose over 40 mg, or a daily dose over 80 mg are only for patients with established opioid tolerance. Higher starting doses in people who are not opioid-tolerant may cause fatal breathing suppression.

Major risks

🚫 Do not crush, chew, split, dissolve, snort, or inject – Extended-release oxycodone must be swallowed whole. Tampering with it can release a potentially fatal dose at once.

🍺 Do not mix with alcohol, Xanax/benzodiazepines, sleep meds, or other depressants – Combining opioids with CNS depressants can cause profound sedation, respiratory depression, coma, or death.

⚠️ Addiction, dependence, overdose risk – Oxycodone exposes users to risks of addiction, abuse, misuse, overdose, and death, even when prescribed.

Use only exactly as prescribed. Store locked away, never share it, and ask a pharmacist or doctor about naloxone for overdose emergencies.
